Cooking Lentil Rice (Adas Polo)

Ingredients: (6 serving)
  • Lentil: 400 grams
  • Rice: 500 grams
  • Ground beef or lamb: 400 grams
  • Raisins: 120 grams
  • Onions: 2 large
Direction: (cooking Iranian food)
Wash lentil and let cook with water for 20-30 min.
Cook rice in the water with salt about 5-10 min, then drain water and empty the pot.
Mix cooked lentil with cooked rice.
Cut onions in small pieces and fry, add turmeric then add ground meat, salt and pepper, after the meat fry add raisins, after 1-2 min turn off the heat.
Pour some oil in the pot, then half of mixed lentil rice and then mixed meat and raisins, then pour all of the lentil and rice.
Let this delicious lentil rice cook over law heat for 30-45 min.
